The presentation offers a panoramic review of one of the most elite and unique breeds of horses the Trakehner. Bred exclusively in East Prussia until 1945, the Trakehner horses served the Prussian royal house, the imperial army, won Olympic medals and constituted an integral part of the horse culture of East Prussia and Kurland over 300 years. Rescued from the advance of the Red Army, Trakehner horses continue their proud tradition in Germany and the United States to these days.
